Mutual Aid Service (M.A.S.) A service provided by the Club to assist those members who may help with transport/cost of transport to hospital, specialist appointments, etc. The M.A.S. also fund a community nurse to visit the Club on the first Saturday of the month where you can discuss your health concerns, have your blood pressure checked and diabetes tested. Discounted Taxi Fares – see further down Club Chaplin We have a Club Chaplin who is available to discuss with individuals matters that are concerning them. Gambling Helpline The Club through ClubsNZ provide a Gambling helpline that is available 24/7 for those who may require it. Members Jackpot Monday night is our MEMBERS JACKPOT night and if you are in the Club you could be a winner. The draw is done using your membership card number. The jackpot maximum is $1,000, and at that stage if it is not won the following week there will be two draws – one for $1,000 and the other for $300. There is also a second chance draw for a Cossie Club bonus Pack which consists of a $20 Bar tab, $10 TAB voucher, $2 Raffle Ticket Voucher and A $10 Meal voucher. All you have to do is be present in the Club on Monday nights, at around 5.45pm. BUT MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOU. Conditions of entry for the Members Jackpot Draw
REMEMBER IT IS VERY, VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ALWAYS HAVE YOUR CARD ON YOU WHEN IN THE CLUB. WITHOUT YOUR CARD, IT COULD BE EMBARRASSING FOR YOU. LUCKY PUNTER Also on Saturday mornings a lucky punter is drawn. All that is required for this, is for you come in for a drink, enter your name on the list at the TAB and when 12.30pm comes along a lucky number will be drawn out. If you are the Lucky punter, you will receive a $20.00 voucher to bet on the gee gees. All winnings are yours. On the subject of horses we have full TAB FACILITIES and TRACK SIDE T.V So if you are into the horses you don’t have to go any further than your own Club. Come on down on a Saturday morning (T.A.B. opens @ 9am ) have a drink or two, enter the lucky punter draw, pick your horses and watch them all WIN . . . . . BEST OF LUCK ANYWAY.CHANGE OF ADDRESS Should you at anytime change your residential address, PLEASE ADVISE THE CLUB OFFICE. DISCOUNTED TAXI SERVICE  Instead of a courtesy coach service the Club provides a discounted taxi service in conjunction with TAXI DIRECT.This service runs seven days per week from 11am until closing of each day and provides transport to and from the Club. The service will only pick up and drop off to and from residential addresses and motels.Fares within the zones will be charged at the following rates:
This service is available to all members and guests (if a member is travelling with them) and Affiliated Members on presentation of a valid Club Membership Card. TAXI chits are used for this service and are for Members and Affiliated Members only.

Remember for all your transport needs to and from the Club call - TAXI DIRECT on 3688-200 ANNUAL CHARITY SPUD DIG  You may have heard about our annual fund raising day which occurs every March when spuds which have been grown by members are dug up, weighed & auctioned off with the proceeds raised going to a nominated local charity. This is a great fun day and seed spuds go on sale Sept/Nov each year with all funds raised going to local charities.Seed spuds are now on sale and can be purchased from the Bar.
Dig day will be Sunday 6th March 2011 Funds raised will be going to the Horowhenua Community Shuttle Service. RACE PICKS A Race Pick competition is run every week and includes a forecast race . What you do is pick the wining horses over a period of four or five Saturdays and the person with the most points at the end of the month picks up a $50.00 TAB voucher with the weekly winner receiving a $10.00 TAB voucher. The entry forms are available from the newsletter box every Thursday and all entries must be in ten minutes prior to the start of the first race. Entries go into the newsletter box whereupon they will be collected and marked. Remember they must be in thebox 10 minutes prior to the first race. It’s a lot of fun so have a go. NEWSLETTER The Club newsletter is printed every three to four months with copies available from the Bar for other members. This is full of information about coming events, sports results, entertainment etc. You will also find stories of members in a muddle, misadventures and jokes, etc. We are always on the look out for good tales about our members or anything else that members may find amusing or interesting. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Thank you. MONTHLY CROSSWORD A crossword is provided early each month and copies can be found at the old Bar. By entering the crossword puzzle can win you loyalty points on your card so if you are into crosswords have a go. Entries can be left in the newsletter box. ENTERTAINMENT Entertainment provided can vary from live bands to disco music, karaoke or jukebox. Watch the notice boards, newsletter, webpage etc for up and coming entertainment. From time to time we also have special artists. These could be any night of the week so it does pay to check the notice boards. The entertainment provided is there for your enjoyment so please come along and enjoy yourself. SENIOR MEMBERS ADJUNCT Now if you are 55 years young or over you are very welcome to join the Senior Members Adjunct, where you can have a grand time with bus trips away once a month to other clubs at a very reasonable cost. You first must become a member which is quite simple. You can contact Denise Steel or Sheena Steele for more details. Unless on an away trip, every Wednesday afternoon they have a club day, where they come down to the Club for a game of cards, pool or indoor bowls or just a chat. Once a month they host another Club in with us. If you would like more information please don’t be afraid to ask. MEMBERSHIP CARDS Are a “MUST” at all times and are valid for use in affiliated Clubs N.Z. wide, names of which, are shown on the Notice board. Members do not have to sign the book in their mother Club, but MUST DO SO AT ANY OTHER CLUB. SHAREHOLDERS All financial members of the Club are in effect, shareholders - our success is your success. Your support is vital if the Club is to continue to prosper and grow. Use the Club facilities to the full and become an active member - The growth and well being of the Club is up to each individual member and support from members is a MUST....
